Intronis Expands Cloud Backup, Recovery Solution

Spring Release '14 adds physical imaging, Hyper-V support to backup repertoire.

Chelmsford, Mass.-based Intronis Inc., provider of cloud backup and recovery solutions for the IT channel, launched its Spring Release '14 platform.

According to the company, a number of new features added to its Cloud Backup and Recovery solution can enable channel partners to support blended IT environments and virtualized solutions. These include: physical imaging (for local backups of servers, laptops and desktops; image-level, physical-to-virtual and object-level recovery can be made available to users), Hyper-V (stored and encrypted backups can be made to the cloud, local device or both) and extended platform support (for Exchange 2013 and VMware vSphere 5.5).

Intronis claims the new Spring Release '14 "enables channel partners to streamline the tools they use, reducing their management time, while expanding business opportunities with their customers and prospects."

As quoted in the press release, Chuck DeLouis, Intronis vice president of product management, said, "The Spring '14 Release … positions our partners to deliver higher-value services and enterprise-grade support."
