Zerto Centralizes, Simplifies Disaster Recovery

When disaster strikes, strike back with Zerto Virtual Replication 3.1.

When it comes to business continuity and disaster recovery, virtual and cloud environments are getting a manageability and scalability boost in the form of Zerto Virtual Replication 3.1. Building on the advances of its predecessor, version 3.0, this point release centralizes and simplifies disaster recovery with improved scalability, maintainability, and alerting features.

ZVR 3.1 extends the capabilities of its management console, the Zerto Cloud Manager, so customers can manage, report, and monitor business continuity and disaster recovery operations across multiple sites via a single, Web-based UI. Also improved is the ZVR journal, which now allows recovery to multiple points in time. With 3.1, the size of the journal automatically increases or decreases based on the amount of changed data. This saves administrators the extra duty of managing the journal size, and ensures protection even when applications generate large bursts of data.

Other improvements include a tab that centralizes management of alerts and events for better cause-and-effect analysis; expanded REST API capabilities for orchestration, events, and alerts; and new VRA tabs and workflows that make environment maintenance easier.
