VMTurbo Improves Efficiency in Virtual Environments

Move from reactive to predictive workload management with new version of VMTurbo Operations Manager.

Organizations wanting to get better performance out of their virtualized environments might want to check out the most recent release of VMTurbo Operations Manager. In this new version of the product, VMTurbo is promising a 30-percent improvement in utilization, and greater control over all aspects of the environment the application workload touches –  from compute and storage to fabric and cloud.

Operations Manager installations come with a free assessment of the virtual environment. The system then ties application monitoring to proactive steps organizations can take to get their systems running at maximum efficiency, and keep them there. This, VMTurbo says, moves companies away from systems that simply monitor for problems as they happen, leaving IT staffs in constant fire-fighting mode.

One of the major advancements in this release is management of the Converged Fabric layer with Cisco (CSCO) UCS support. Operations Manager provides visibility into UCS from the fabric interconnect down to individual blades. It also provides control of UCS to manage demand for UCS ports, maximizing port utilization and avoiding unnecessary port licensing costs.
