SHI Adds Zetta.net DataProtect to Its Cloud Offering

SHI customers get enterprise-grade cloud backup and disaster recovery.

IT solution provider SHI International and Zetta.net are partnering to offer Zetta's DataProtect enterprise-grade cloud backup and disaster recovery service to SHI cloud service customers. SHI's platform combines strategically located data centers, proprietary automation, an open API with on-demand dedicated servers, cloud hosting, and IT infrastructure. In response to market demand SHI is seeing from organizations wanting to use the cloud for backup and recovery to reduce cost, increase efficiency, and improve accessibility, it's also offering DataProtect in the SHI Cloud Marketplace.

Zetta DataProtect is an enterprise-grade online backup and disaster recovery solution for small and mid-sized businesses, enterprises, and MSPs. It promises to replace disparate backup products, manual backup processes, and offsite services with a three-in-one online backup service that integrates local, offsite, and remote office backup, archiving, and disaster recovery.

Without requiring an appliance, DataProtect can handle large data sets between 1TB and 100TB, and transfers up to 5TB in 24 hours. All data is encrypted in transit across the Internet and at rest in SSAE-certified data centers, with 99.99996 percent backup reliability and 100 percent recovery reliability.
