AWS Cloud Threat Overview for 2023 (and Beyond)
Date: Friday, June 9 at 9 a.m. PT / 12 noon ET
Madge the Manicurist suggested Palmolive dishwashing liquid was "so gentle you could soak in it!" I would not suggest for a moment Amazon AWS is by any means "gentle" but it's highly likely "you are soaking in it." It' most likely part of your IT supply chain - directly or indirectly. AWS is now ubiquitous in our daily lives and delivers a huge number of applications from both 3rd parties and hosted services to small, medium and enterprise clients. As an example, there are over 7000 different services in the Amazon Market Place alone and that number is growing every day.
Join Ian Thornton-Trump CD as he will examine the threats, the challenges, and the opportunities by detailing the current and future threat models against AWS. To make matters even more interesting for IT and security teams the organisation's data - even in 3rd party applications does not mean the responsibility for keeping it secure, tamper proof and available is "someone else's problem." Although the argument can be made it's a shared responsibility the organisation must exercise due diligence and contingency plan for all your systems - whether they are found on premise, as hybrid or provided by a 3rd party hosted in AWS.
