Tripwire IP360 Expands Virtualization Support
IP360 upgrades to version 7.3 with a lower cost of ownership via its improved device profiler.
As security becomes increasingly top of mind for IT shops, you want to measure and manage the vulnerability of your company's infrastructure. The recently released 7.3 version of IP360 from Tripwire Inc. can help your organization accomplish this.
The risk-based security and compliance management solutions provider that acquired nCircle a year ago has expanded "virtualization support and time-saving features that enable rapid and flexible options for deployment and expansion." Also included in this new release are simplified management and faster reporting.
According to the company, Tripwire IP360 7.3 can virtualize all or part of a vulnerability management solution, utilizing a built-in device profiler as well as leverage physical or virtual device profiler appliance, which results in lower TCO. It works with the following hypervisors: VMware ESXi, VirtualBox, VMware Workstation and VMware Fusion.
Other key features of this new release include a "streamlined upgrade process … to future IP360 versions; redesigned OS fingerprinting engine for improved OS identification; [and] an enhanced command-line interface."
