NComputing oneSpace Now Available for Public Beta

Client virtualization vendor testing its vSpace-based unified workspace solution, with hopes of releasing it at end of June.

Small to midsize businesses (SMBs) looking for a way to allow BYOD policies and provide users with a secure console to access necessary applications and files can apply to use the beta release of NComputing oneSpace. Announced at the end of May, client virtualization vendor NComputing is accepting applications for the public beta release of its unified workspace solution (it was in private beta testing with select customers since late February).

According to the press release, oneSpace enables organizations to "unify and securely deliver applications and files as a service to a variety of devices, including iPads and Android tablets."

Leveraging both cloud and on-premises deployment models and built on the NComputing virtualization platform vSpace, the company says oneSpace will help IT unify the delivery of Windows, Web and Software as a Service applications -- plus cloud and on-premises files -- to a variety of devices, while maintaining control over the environment. Because of this, the company purports oneSpace is "the lowest-cost solution on the market and requires the fewest IT resources to deploy and manage."

As the beta is open to a limited amount of users for a limited time, companies interested in testing the beta release should sign up sooner rather than later. General availability is expected by the end of June.
