Oracle Scores High Marks for EiPaaS

Oracle is named a Leader in Gartner's 2018 "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service."

For the second year in a row Gartner Inc. has named Oracle Corp. a Leader in the 2018 "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service [EiPaaS]." According to the announcement, Oracle "believes that the recognition is testament to the continued momentum and growth of Oracle Cloud Platform in the past year." Nearly "tripling in size" from FY 2017, Oracle Platform -- which includes the company's EiPaaS offerings -- has reached "almost 3,000 customers."

"In our view, being recognized as a Leader for two years in a row further demonstrates the value Oracle Cloud Platform is delivering to thousands of enterprises every day," said Vikas Anand, vice president of product management, Oracle, in the announcement. "Our comprehensive iPaaS offering has eliminated the barriers between various Oracle and non-Oracle ERP, HCM, and CX applications to provide a seamlessly connected business spanning cloud and on-premises. ..."

According to the Gartner report, vendors are positioned in a quadrant "based on their ability to execute and completeness of vision." The report describes an iPaaS solution as providing "capabilities to enable subscribers (aka "tenants") to implement data, application, API and process integration projects involving any combination of cloud-resident and on-premises endpoints."

In addition to Oracle's iPaaS offerings, which include Oracle SOA Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle has a number of other cross-PaaS solutions: Oracle Data Integration Platform Cloud, Oracle API Platform Cloud and Oracle IoT Cloud, all of which can be combined to "deliver greater productivity" to companies.
