Demo: Sophisticated security to stop sophisticated Bots

Date: Wednesday, August 25th at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT

On any given day, bots make up 40-50% of internet traffic. They get in the way of business, overload backend resources and carry out credential and credit card stuffing, inventory hoarding and data scraping attacks. What’s more, the attackers behind bots constantly update their attack platforms to quickly circumvent manual IP blocklisting and user-agent filtering.

This is why organizations need sophisticated Bot Management solutions, with layered detections to slow bots in their tracks.

To equip you with the ability to discern between good and bad bots, we’ve enlisted the expertise of Cloudflare’s Ben Solomon, Product Lead for Bot Management and Neil Patel, Senior Technical Marketing Manager. Join us for a demo presentation of Cloudflare’s Bot Management Solution to see how it spots and stops sophisticated bots in real-time using heuristics, machine learning and anomaly detection.

About the presenters:

Ben Solomon, Product Manager for Bot Management, Cloudflare

Ben is a Product Manager at Cloudflare and started his career with the company. He helps build anything related to bots — new analytics, machine learning models, and dashboard tools that stop bad bots. Ben also launched API Abuse Detection earlier this year. More broadly, he’s extending Cloudflare’s thought leadership in the API space and building security tools that are future-proof. In his free time, Ben writes hip-hop songs for studio artists (and even dabbles in recording himself).

Neil Patel, Senior Technical Marketing Manager, Cloudflare

Neil is Senior Technical Marketing Manager at Cloudflare and has been a practicing Cybersecurity professional for nearly 10 years. Neil has spent his career working across various leading security products and vendors; presenting thought leadership and demonstrative content at both live and virtual events. His goal is to help security professionals better understand active threats and attacker techniques and, more importantly, how to protect against them. Personally he is an avid technology and automotive enthusiast, always looking for a new piece of technology to play with or his next project car.
