VMware 2011 Financials Ends on Positive Note

VMware recently released results of its 2011 Q4 financials and the news was exceptionally positive. At $1.06 billion, revenue was 27 percent better than Q4 from a year ago, and 26 percent better than Q3. VMware's per-share profit beat analysts expectations of 60 cent by 2 cents. Overall, VMware revenue grew 32 percent for the year, at $3.77 billion.

VMware expects 2012 to start off on a positive note, with Q1 expected to bring in revenue of about $1.015 billion. It's a dip compared to the last quarter, but it's a 20 percent increase when compared to the year-ago quarter.
