NComputing oneSpace Makes Windows Apps Mobile-Friendly

SMBs can now easily and securely extend Windows apps to mobile users.

Thanks to an increasingly mobile workforce and the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) trend, companies are having to deal with the challenges that mobile devices introduce into the IT environment. Chief among these is the difficulty of extending Windows apps to non-Windows devices because it usually requires significant changes and/or additions to the back-end infrastructure. With oneSpace, NComputing is helping SMBs mobilize Windows applications – including custom, full-screen, multi-tasking, and gesture-driven apps – without rewrites or changes to the existing infrastructure.

NComputing oneSpace also helps companies avoid the security issues that come from users adopting consumer cloud file services such as Dropbox to store files for access from multiple devices. Instead of allowing users to store potentially sensitive data out of IT's control, companies can now give users unified access to all their files, including access to existing cloud and on-premise file shares, while applying their own security policies and control.

Users can securely search, view, edit, copy, move, and share files from their mobile devices. They can also universally search for files across all their file stores to easily find and access their files, and "favorite" files for offline use.

oneSpace is now in private customer beta.  NComputing plans to open access to a public beta in early spring of 2014.
