Mark Templeton To Remain CEO at Citrix

A press release issued by the company states that Mark Templeton will rescind his retirement and continue to helm the workstyle anywhere company.

Citrix CEO Mark Templeton will remain CEO heading into the future, according to a press release issued by the company last Thursday. The company, through the release, said that during the search that Templeton expressed a desire to remain as CEO, and that at the conclusion of its search, the company's board " concluded that Mark is the best leader to drive the Company forward at this time of dynamic change in our business."

Templeton earlier this year had announced his retirement and the company launched an executive search looking for his replacement. Prior to his announcement, Templeton took a personal leave of absence and CTO David Henshall took on the role of acting CEO.

Besides the return of Templeton to the helm, the company also used the occasion of the announcement to announce the appointment of Robert M Calderoni to the board. Calderoni comes from SAP company Ariba, a company that was acquired by SAP in 2012. Prior to joining and then leading Ariba in 2003, he also served stints at Avery Dennis Corporation and Apple Computer, and IBM. He currently serves on the boards of Juniper Networks and KLA-Tencor.
