F5 Looks To Improve Cloud Services with Crescendo Network's Technology
F5 Networks has bought the intellectual property of Israel-based Crescendo Networks and will be hiring some of its engineering team.
According to some news reports, application delivery load controller company F5 Networks has bought the intellectual property of Israel-based Crescendo Networks and will be hiring some of its engineering team.
Crescendo Networks with its AppBeat solutions offered competitive technology against F5's offerings in the application delivery load controller segment, and counted Internet players Photobucket and Plaxo among its customers. But at the time that F5 made its announcement to acquire Crescendo's technology and personnel, Crescendo's business had already been shuttered and it was already in the midst of liquidating assets. A blog at GeekWire mentioned that only a handful of employees would remain with F5, working from the F5 offices in Tel Aviv.
