Framehawk Offers Secure Mobile Access to Virtualized Apps

Framehawk partners with Ping Identity to offer secure mobile access, federated single sign-on (SSO), and automated user provisioning.

Via a partnership with Ping Identity, Framehawk is adding cloud-based trust services to its application virtualization platform for mobile environments. Framehawk's Trust Services Cloud ensures that any Framehawk user is fully authenticated via appropriate corporate credentials prior to being allowed to request access to Framehawk virtualized applications.

Using Framehawk's platform, the company claims that enterprises can mobilize applications without sacrificing performance or user experience, while still providing IT the policy controls to secure and manage corporate data for virtualized applications. By integrating with Ping Identity's enterprise identity bridge for standards-based federated identity management, Framehawk users can now get secure mobile access, federated single sign-on (SSO), and automated user provisioning.

Framehawk said its platform lets an organization mobilize all types of applications--including "thick" Windows client/server applications and web applications using any technology--without redeveloping them. Even most touch and gesture UI features are supported, without requiring any data to be on the mobile device itself. The application runs in a secure container that the organization can deploy in the public cloud, a private cloud, or in a virtual appliance in its data center.
