Tata Cloud Platform Combines with Cisco SD-WAN to Simplify Enterprise Networking

Tata Communications, a digital infrastructure provider, announced a new managed service that it says can help enterprises simplify their complex legacy networks by transforming them into customized multi-cloud native hybrid networks.

Called IZO SDWAN powered by Cisco, the fully managed global solution weds Tata's MPLS and Tier 1 Internet backbone -- and partnerships with cloud providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Alibaba -- with Cisco's software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) offering.

Similar new SD-WAN services and partnerships have exploded as the game-changing software-centric transformation matures and gains traction throughout the enterprise networking space.

"Cisco's SD-WAN solution plays a pivotal role in the Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) for enterprises transitioning to become digital natives and in multi-cloud adoption," Tata said in a statement. "With Cisco's DNA, enterprises are able to centrally secure user, device and application policies across wired, wireless and wide area network. Cisco's DNA is the central keystone in assisting organizations with securely managing multi-cloud and multi-domain environments, making it easier for enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation journey."

Tata said it has for years deployed large-scale enterprise SD-WAN solutions across thousands of locations, gaining expertise in designing, migrating and managing SD-WANs to help lowers the barriers for enterprises to move from legacy infrastructure to hybrid software-defined networks.
