Veeam Earns 2026 Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice Recognition

Veeam Software has been named a Customers' Choice in the 2026 Gartner Peer Insights "Voice of the Customer" for backup and data protection platforms, adding a fresh customer-feedback credential to the vendor's messaging around data resilience and protection.

In its April 1 announcement of the recognition, Veeam said it received an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 124 reviews as of Dec. 31, 2025. The company also said 98% of customers were willing to recommend its offerings, with 73% assigning 5-star ratings and 27% assigning 4-star ratings.

"Our customers' satisfaction is the ultimate indicator of how well we're doing,” said Tony Colon, chief customer officer. "Innovation is at the core of everything we do at Veeam, but our passion in delivering that innovation to meet customers' needs is unmatched. That focus and the trust it engenders is what has made us No. 1 in the market. Now, we are unifying those proven data resilience capabilities with data security to help customers accelerate safe AI at scale. Veeam is once again redefining the industry -- with our customers at the center."

Veeam also connected the recognition to its broader platform strategy, saying customers are increasingly selecting the company because it combines data resilience, data security and AI governance. The company further tied that message to Veeam's acquisition of Securiti AI and the recent introduction of Agent Commander.

The company used the recognition to also note its position in Gartner's 2025 Magic Quadrant for Backup and Data Protection Platforms, where it was placed in the Leaders Quadrant for the ninth consecutive time and ranked highest for Ability to Execute for the sixth straight year.

Gartner disclaimer language included in the release says Peer Insights content reflects the opinions of individual end users and should not be construed as statements of fact or as Gartner endorsements.

For virtualization and cloud IT teams, the news is notable as another signal of how backup vendors are increasingly tying customer ratings, cyber resilience and AI-related governance into a single platform narrative spanning hybrid, multicloud and SaaS environments, which is how Gartner characterized the category.
