HPE Expands Agentic AI, GreenLake and Morpheus Software
Hewlett Packard Enterprise used its big Las Vegas event to announce a set of software, cloud, networking and AI infrastructure updates aimed at enterprises trying to run AI agents and hybrid IT operations in production.
The announcements came during HPE Discover Las Vegas 2026, held June 15-18 at The Venetian Convention and Expo Center in Las Vegas. The company framed the updates around GreenLake, HPE Morpheus Software, HPE Private Cloud AI, HPE Networking and the HPE AI Factory with NVIDIA.
The developer and IT operations angle centers on hybrid cloud management, VM and container provisioning, infrastructure-as-code support, AI agent governance, observability and integrations with platforms including ServiceNow, Citrix, NVIDIA technologies and Terraform. Microsoft-specific integrations were not documented in the HPE sources reviewed for this draft.
GreenLake and Morpheus Get Agentic Operations Updates
HPE said GreenLake and HPE Morpheus Software are being expanded to deliver unified operations for what the company calls the agentic enterprise. The announcement lists new work across agentic AIOps, private cloud and software for AI infrastructure, with HPE saying GreenLake is intended to provide a unified operating model for rising virtualization costs, emerging AI workloads and operational complexity.
GreenLake Intelligence provides an agentic AI framework for hybrid cloud and AI operations, including a centralized agent registry, intelligent planning and orchestration capabilities, and governance controls to manage AI agents across infrastructure, applications and operational workflows, according to HPE. The company said HPE OpsRamp Operations Copilot adds observability for agents and large language models, including AI utilization monitoring, token-based consumption governance and operational cost visibility across agents, multi-vendor AI factories and workloads.
HPE also announced a ServiceNow partnership tied to GreenLake Intelligence. According to HPE, the integration of GreenLake Intelligence through OpsRamp Operations Copilot with ServiceNow's autonomous AI workforce is intended to create a single source of truth for agentic IT operations, from AI infrastructure observability to autonomous service delivery.
On the virtualization side, HPE said HPE Morpheus Software now combines self-service provisioning with observability and operations capabilities for hybrid cloud environments. Enterprises can provision and manage VM and container workloads, correlate telemetry with AI-powered insights and operate under a single per-socket subscription, according to the release.
New Morpheus capabilities include HPE Morpheus Orchestration Copilot, HPE Morpheus Central, generally available software-defined networking, intent-based closed-loop network automation through HPE Juniper Apstra integration, stretched cluster capabilities and HPE Zerto Software live workload migration from VMware environments to HPE virtual machines.
HPE said the new HPE Morpheus Orchestration Copilot is part of GreenLake Intelligence and automates multi-step provisioning and orchestration workflows. The company said customers can use preferred AI tools with governance and security guardrails through a bring-your-own-model architecture.
Private Cloud and Migration Programs Expand
HPE also described private cloud updates for regulated and sovereign environments. HPE Private Cloud PC3000 is updated to support air-gapped deployment across edge and core deployments, while HPE Private Cloud PC7000 adds infrastructure-as-code with Terraform support, automated private cloud operations and VMware vSphere 9 validation. HPE said air-gapped deployment of PC7000 includes readiness for Department of Defense Impact Level 4 certification.
HPE's availability notes say HPE OpsRamp Operations Copilot within GreenLake Intelligence is available now, while GreenLake Intelligence and ServiceNow integrations will roll out across 2026 and 2027. The latest HPE Morpheus Software updates are rolling out across Q2 and Q3 2026, HPE CloudOps Software for cloud service providers is available now, and HPE Private Cloud air-gapped for PC3000 and PC7000 is scheduled for Q3 2026.
At the HPE Partner Growth Summit, HPE also announced a platform migration program for virtualization. New VM Essentials customers can receive up to one free year of VM Essentials licenses, a year of HPE Zerto for $1 to support non-disruptive migration to HPE virtual machines, and 0% interest on software through HPE Financial Services, according to the company.
Separately, HPE said it will unify HPE and Juniper Networks partner programs under HPE Partner Ready Vantage beginning Nov. 1, 2026. Starting July 1, 2026, HPE SimpliVity PC1000, HPE Private Cloud PC3000 and HPE Zerto Software will be available for new business exclusively through the channel, according to the release.
Self-Driving Network Strategy Adds Juniper and Aruba Work
HPE also announced self-driving networking updates across AI factories, data centers and the enterprise edge. The June 16 release lists support for HPE Networking CX wired access switches in the HPE Mist platform, expanded HPE Marvis AI-driven insights and self-healing automation in HPE Aruba Central, and new AI data center features for root cause analysis and remediation.
HPE said its AI Data Center Solution is expanding to include HPE Networking by integrating HPE Juniper Networking QFX Switches managed through HPE Networking Data Center Director. The release identifies two new switching innovations: HPE Juniper Networking QFX5140 Switch for inference clusters and edge AI use cases, and HPE Juniper Networking QFX5252 Switch tray for AMD Helios, described as a scale-up module for AMD Helios AI rack-scale platform.
HPE also said it is aligning HPE Aruba Central and HPE Mist AI platforms with shared agentic capabilities, common hardware and consistent AI-native operations. HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance is now integrated with HPE Compute Ops Management and into GreenLake, according to the company.
The networking release also introduced a unified AI-native SASE platform built on HPE Networking EdgeConnect and advanced firewall technology. HPE said the platform converges SD-WAN and cloud-delivered security in one AI-native management console and includes integrated SD-WAN and Security Service Edge, embedded zero trust network access deployment, Secure Web Gateway tunneling and SASE copilot capabilities.
NVIDIA AI Factory Work Targets Production AI Agents
In another June 16 announcement, HPE said HPE Private Cloud AI, co-engineered with NVIDIA, is adding new capabilities for deploying agentic AI with greater control, observability and efficiency.
The release says NVIDIA Agent Toolkit software, including NVIDIA Nemotron open models, NVIDIA NemoClaw and the NVIDIA OpenShell secure runtime, will provide an agent operating system for reasoning, monitoring agent behavior, enforcing policies and reducing deployment risk. HPE Private Cloud AI is also adding HPE ProLiant Compute DL394 Gen12 with NVIDIA Vera CPU for agentic AI and high-performance data processing.
HPE said HPE Zerto Software capabilities will help customers identify rogue agent actions and use continuous data protection to rewind to a clean slate. HPE Private Cloud AI also supports secure local agent registration, giving customers the ability to approve AI models, skills and tools while adhering to centralized governance and security policies.
On data infrastructure, HPE said HPE Private Cloud AI can turn unstructured data into AI-ready pipelines in minutes through HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 and automatically apply metadata and governance policies. HPE said HPE Data Fabric Software is extending model context protocol support to Apache Airflow and introducing an enterprise AI inventory enriched with metadata.
According to HPE's availability notes, new HPE Private Cloud AI features will be available in July 2026, HPE Data Fabric Software will be available in October 2026, and additional HPE Private Cloud AI products and features including agentic observability, data intelligence, HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000, NVIDIA Agent Toolkit support and NVIDIA NemoClaw will be available in Q4 2026. HPE Private Cloud AI with HPE ProLiant Compute DL394 Gen12 is scheduled for 2027.
